Concord, CA – Jeremy Booth is fighting for his life after an accident involving a wood chipper. Booth was part of a three man crew taking down a tree as a contractor hired by the city of Concord. The crew was using a rope to lower the limbs out of the tree. Booth was the man on the ground feeding the chipper when he became tangled up in a rope being pulled into the machine. A crew member was able to shut the chipper off but Booth had a rope wrapped around his neck and he lost oxygen. Witnesses say it was an awful situation, and they won’t forget the screams from one of the workers who was up in the tree. He was transported to Queen Valley Hospital and is in critical condition.
